This year we will be tracking each of our writers’ performances in our 100 person One And Done (OAD) pool. For those of you who do not know what a OAD pool is, it is a season long contest in which you select one golfer per week with the golfer’s earned money that week adding to your season total. Once you select a golfer, you cannot use him the rest of the year (so, no, you cannot pick DJ or Tiger every week).

WMPO Picks
Kevin Walsh: Rickie Fowler — Many of you may be wondering why I even bother with a write up anymore. But a true competitor will gut out the hard times, even when it seems like you simply can’t get going. It has been a bleak run of late, much like it has been for our man Rickie. This is a week about will. Stats be damned. Together we will fight with everything we have to be in contention. That being said, he loves this course, his ball striking is trending, and we are hoping the familiarity and success on these greens can jump start the old flat stick. Remember, #Itonlytakes1
Frank Laterza: Max Homa — Throwing an EARLY dart because sometimes you just follow your gut. I don’t have any numbers for you other than he’s gone T6 and T26 in 2 tries here. If I was sane, i’d play Xander.
Mike McNamara: Louis Oosthuizen — Louis kicked off the rust last week at Torrey and still managed to find his way inside the top 30. In his only prior appearance at the Stadium Course he finished 3rd with all four rounds in the 60’s. Not getting talked about much this week and that’s just how he likes it. Go get that first on American soil Lou!
Bear: Will Zalatoris — If you don’t know what DECADE is, look it up. Shout out Scott Fawcett.
Sean Carney: SungJae Im — Rolling with SungJae Im this week. There’s no one on tour that loves playing more than him. Past couple weeks, he was a couple blow up holes away from winning. In the past couple years, it seems like talent has found its way to the top. I’m hoping SungJae can put together four rounds this week and go out and win this damn thing.
Jake Mulholland: Xander Schauffele — I have been so far off on my picks this year that I’m falling back to a guy who is near and dear to my heart. When X Won the Sentry Tournament of Champions in 2019, I was one of three who knew he had what it takes to game with the big dawgs. This guy has picked up some serious momentum in the past few months and is constantly threatening the top 10 every tournament he enters. Expect this one to be a chall pick for Rouge but sitting @ 85th we can only go up from here folks so I might as well roll the X factor out at the WMPO.
Jack Corrigan: Hideki Matsuyama — I feel lost; hopefully a guy that loves this place saves me at a place I’ve won at twice before.
