This year we will be tracking each of our writers’ performances in our 100 person One And Done (OAD) pool. For those of you who do not know what a OAD pool is, it is a season long contest in which you select one golfer per week with the golfer’s earned money that week adding to your season total. Once you select a golfer, you cannot use him the rest of the year (so, no, you cannot pick DJ or Tiger every week).

–“Hoooooly cow. Boy was there some rust last week. 5/8 MC’s is almost impressive. But hey, I don’t think it’s possible to be worse next week, right?” — Quote from last week. YIKES.
-Props to Rouge for two straight Top 5s. May want to tail him this week.
–“Then there’s Bear, aka Steady Eddy. Just a purely mediocre pick by a man having a purely mediocre season.” — Another quote from last week. The more things change, the more they stay the same.

Travelers Picks
Kevin Walsh: Kevin Kisner — Coming
Tony Kasper: TBD
Frank Laterza: Bubba Watson — Bubba track, Bubba playing well, Bubba fan. I have 2 straight MC’s, but Bubba doesn’t cry when he MC’s. Bubba cries when he wins. Cry for me, Bubba.
Mike McNamara: Jon Rahm — Taking one of the best in the world, at a course that sets up well for him, in a week where he won’t be picked by many. The detailed write ups, the risk taking, the calculated decisions all seem to doom me. So I’m keeping it as simple as what I stated above. Taking one of the best in the world, at a course that sets up well for him, in a week where he won’t be picked by many.
Bear: Bryson DeChambeau — I’m personally getting tired of making the cut but not being close to seriously contending. Who’s a guy right now that’s going to seriously contend no matter what? Bryson.
Sean Carney: Bryson DeChambeau — Riding with Bryson DeChambeau this week. The guy has been nuking it since the break. He’s played exceptionally well here from a historical perspective. I think with his new found length, he’ll be able to take on this course differently then most guys. I think he’ll figure out the putter a bit more and end up running away with it.
Jake Mulholland: Bubba Watson — Over the past three years (including this year), my average OAD yield has been 679K in the month of June per pick. That number average includes 8 tournaments, 2 wins, one second place finish, a disappointing T3 (this past week from Hatton), and a T7.
This week I’m hoping to strike Gold at the Travelers with a previous three-time champion. Most OAD’ers will be drawn to the bombers in the field and since 10 of the top 11 players in the world are in the field this week, I dont expect Bubba to pull many users (despite previous success). This pick is a meaningful one to me because my second OAD win came here at the Travelers in 2018. Bubba played a phenomenal round that week and he flew deeply under the radar due to his poor form prior to the tournament. After a so-so performance in Harbor Town, I’m expecting the smooth swinging lefty to come away with a top five or better this week with less than 5 people riding the Bubba wagon. After coming close two weeks in a row with Morikawa @ C-Schwab and Hatton @ Harbor Town, I think this is the week my guy pulls through. Rouge jumps into the top 15 with a win at TPC River Highlands.
Jack Corrigan: Patrick Cantlay — After two straight miss cuts I need to take a top 10 guy. Cantlay has a pretty good track record here, last two years has top 15s, and I believe his game right now or before quarantine was as consistent as anyone’s. This is his quarantine debut so I hope he had been working on a lot these past few months and can showcase his talents this week, because it is much needed.
